Prejudice against women is an anachronistic idea that complicates opportunities for women at risk of exclusion.

Under the anachronistic reflection "We are not in the 17th century, why do you act like this? ", Adecco Foundation, with more than 60 Spanish companies, has launched the campaign 'Don´t focus on gender, focus on talent' International Women's Day.

In a 21st-century job interview, it is enough to ask about the availability of work specifying what the job requires. However, we can take the surprise of going back in time to another century if we take into account the questions that are made in a selection process.

This campaign reflects the answer to a question about childcare for a mother with non-shared family responsibilities, a question that seems to be drawn from XVII Century. In a job interview companies can`t ask that kind of questions, however our candidates are found on many occasions. This is the basis of this campaign that invites reflection and shows a situation that not only occurs during a job interview, but also in other working and business circumstances related to teamwork, interaction with co-workers, Leadership and people management. These are discriminatory situations that have to stop. We are in the 21st-century and we have to be aware of it.
